GUIDE: How to use Webmoney as payment for your JP POL/FFXI Account.
A. Preamble discussion:
Lately a lot of people in the EU and US with JP
FFXI/POL accounts has found it impossible to re-register their account with a new
credit card or debit card.
The problem? Playonline won’t admit that they have changed anything or that
anything is wrong…

However!! I got some GREAT NEWS!
POL offers JP account users to pay for their account using Webmoney.jp! A
JP site that offers pre-paid cards for Playonline etc.
- Setting up an account with Webmoney, however, is not easy for people who
don’t speak Japanese since the webmoney.jp site is only in Japanese and also
you cannot fill-up your webmoney account with a CC or debit card directly on
the webmoney.jp site.

B. What do I need to use webmoney.jp with my JP
POL Account?
You need to have these things ready to use webmoney.jp
as payment option in the JP POL:
1. A valid
Credit card
2. A valid E-mail address
3. A Japanese version of the Playonline
software.
4. 1 valid account at each of the 3
sites mentioned below:

C. Registering at valid
sites:
*Why do I need to register at 3 different
sites?
Webmoney.jp doesn’t accept credit card payments directly, but you can buy
webmoney credits at sutocorp.com, however they don’t accept credit cards
directly either, so you need a moneybookers.com secure account with a valid
credit card to pay sutocorp who will then credit your webmoney.jp that you can
then use to create payment codes to pay for your FFXI Account(s) in the Japanese
Playonline software.
Let’s get started… (Validation of your accounts /
credit card if you do not already have a moneybookers.com account will take 2-3
business days).
1st of all, you need to create an
account at:
http://www.webmoney.jp
(This is the site where you create codes that you then use to pay with, in the
JP POL)

2nd you need to create an account at:
http://www.sutocorp.com/
(This is the site you buy the webmoney.jp credits you then later use at
webmoney.jp to create payment codes for FFXI/POL)
(This is also a Japanese site but, the website and online chat-support is in
English, so no guide is needed here, just register a new account).
3rd Sutocorp.com doesn’t accept PayPal payments anymore, so
you need to register a 3rd time at:
https://www.moneybookers.com
(Notice: This is the site where you register with your credit card! It will
take 2-3 business days before your credit card is validated:
After you register your credit card, a small amount will be credited on your
bank statement, this amount is the “code” you use to validate your credit card
at moneybookers.com).
(This is a very secure English/US Site, so again I hope no guide on how to
register an account/credit card here is needed cause its very simple to use).

D. So how do I do it?
Once you have valid accounts with the 3 sites
mentioned above and once your credit card is validated at moneybookers.com,
things will start to get easier now.
1. You need to start up the JP Version of Playonline
and log into your POL account. -> Enter Final Fantasy XI menu 1
-> Go to your Playonline ID account options:
-> Go to Account Management:
-> Scroll down to the bottom and go into Payment Options:
-> Set it to Webmoney for payment option and press OK (Bottom left button
and OK again after that on the next screen).
(Notice!! I had to do this 3 times until POL finally accepted this for payment
method instead of the Credit Card option).
Congratulations! You are not done yet but, your
account should now be ready for manual Webmoney payments instead of automatic
credit card payments.
Notice! I think you might have to wait 24-48 hours or so, until its actually
activated and you get the option to pay for your subscription(s), using webmoney
when you log into JP POL Account management, but im not absolutely sure on
this.
- Once it is activated you will then get prompted with
a Webmoney payment option screen shown later in this guide when you log into
your POL ID Account management option in the JP version of Playonline. This is
where you make payments up-front for your player account(s).

2. Now you need to go to http://www.sutocorp.com/
and place a voucher order for the amount of JP Yen you want in your webmoney
account.
- Sutocorp doesn’t accept Paypal any longer (I don’t blaime them cause PayPal is
insecure), so now you have to use your moneybookers.com account where you have
registered your credit card, to pay SutoCorp for the webmoney voucher.
- If you have any problems using this site / placing / paying for the order,
please contact SutoCorp Online Chat Service directly, they have always been
VERY Helpful to me.
Once you have placed an order for a voucher and they
have received the payment, you will receive an Email with a 16 digit code.

3. Go to webmoney.jp and enter the 16 digit code to have your webmoney account
filled with the JP Yen you bought at SutoCorp.

After this is done you can go to step 5.:
To create a webmoney-code for payment in FFXI, however I will first show how to
do the Payment in the JP Playonline (step 4), cause you probably need to know how
many JP Yen you need to Pay (depending on your Character, mules numbers and how
many months you want to pay in advance).

4. Now that you have credits in your webmoney account you can pay for 1, 2 or 3
Months in advance in regards to your FFXI Account.
(You need a webmoney code first
though, see step 5, once you know how many JP Yen you have to pay for your
subscription).
-> Go to your Playonline ID account options:
-> Go to Account Management:
-> If you have setup your JP Playonline account to use Webmoney as payment
method, then you should get a screen similar to this:
(It shows your FFXI Characters and lets you choose if you want to pay in
advance for 1, 2 or 3 months for each character).
(You can choose how many months you want to pay for in advance in the right
side from each character and pay for them all in one turn).
-> When you have choosen the character(s) you want to pay for and how many
months you want to pay in advance, then
Press OK to get to this next screen where you confirm your order and total
amount of JP Yen it will cost you.
WRITE THE JP YEN NUMBER YOU GET DOWN!!!
-> If you press OK to the above screen you will then get to this screen
Where you enter a 16 Digit code as payment for your subscription purchase.
(NOTE! This is NOT the 16 Digit Voucher code
from SutoCorp, but instead it’s a 16 Digit code you need from Webmoney)

5. To get the 16 Digit number you need follow this Guide:

- Create a Code for the amount of JP Yen, step 4
(Playonline payment) told you, you would need to pay for your subscription).
- You should now have have created a code you can enter as payment if you go
back to step 4 and follow that guide again ^^
Congratulations!! You are done for now ^^
- You can now continue to use your JP FFXI Account using Webmoney as manual
payment method in advance in regards to your account ^^
- Remember to keep track of payments, as you will now need to pay manually in
advance for POL services.
I hope you found this guide usefull, it was not easy to write, since I don’t speak
any Japanese at all
- and thus I had a lot of trouble finding this out / getting this to work
myself.
Anyways, I hope you saved your JP FFXI Account by
